About The Position
Sentara Princess Anne Hospital Emergency Department, a recipient of the 2025 ENA Lantern Award, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their Weekend Nights shift. This award recognizes departments with a strong commitment to excellence in leadership, interdisciplinary collaboration, patient care, and staff well-being. The RN will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in a dynamic healthcare setting. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, delivering treatments, and supporting patients and families with education and compassionate service. The RN collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to monitor patient progress, make clinical adjustments, and advocate for the best patient outcomes, ensuring safety and adherence to evidence-based practices. The Sentara Princess Anne Hospital provides expert staff, cutting-edge technology, and specialty services including board-certified emergency physicians, emergency nurses with advanced certifications, a pediatric-trained team, overnight observation rooms for children, a separate family-friendly waiting area, seamless connection to radiology, and a landing pad for Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance.
Requirements
- ADN required.
- Virginia or compact multistate RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing.
- BLS within 90 days of hire.
- 2 years Nursing Experience in a hospital setting.
Nice To Haves
- BSN or higher preferred.
- ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hire.
- RN Experience in the ED highly preferred.
