About The Position
Arnot Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Department RN to join their fast-paced ED team. The ED RN provides high quality, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing acute illness, injury, mental health crises, or trauma while working in a collaborative team environment. Arnot Health is an integrated healthcare delivery system located in the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes region of New York, focusing on delivering high-quality, safe, cost-effective, socially responsible healthcare services.
Requirements
- Current NYS nursing licensure, limited permit or eligible.
- BLS Required
- Strong clinical thinking and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- ACLS or acute care experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity
- Provide emergency nursing care including medication administration, IV therapy, cardiac monitoring
- Accurately document patient care in the electronic health record
- Educate patient and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff
- Work with other interdisciplinary teams
