This position has night shift openings (FT and PT) and currently qualifies for a NEW hourly wage differential in addition to standard shift and holiday differentials. More details about this differential will be provided during the interview process. Our full range of emergency care services include: Level I Trauma Center, Level I Vascular Emergency Program, IU Health LifeLine ground and air transportation, a nationally recognized Medical Toxicology Program and the Indiana Poison Center, and an Intensive Diagnostic Treatment Unit. Nursing skills gained on this unit include: Time management in a fast-paced environment, Attention to detail, Critical thinking skills, and a Foundation of nursing skills.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of RN experience within the Emergency Department.
• Associates of Nursing (ASN).
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
