Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (FT/Days)
About The Position
Indiana University Health is seeking passionate, experienced nurses to join their team and collaborate with top medical professionals in the Bedford Emergency Room. This full-service emergency department serves a diverse patient population from infant to elderly, handling over 23,000 patient visits annually. The team includes board-certified Emergency Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, certified emergency nurses, Paramedics, and Technicians, all equipped to manage medical and traumatic emergencies. Requirements
- Minimum of one year of RN experience.
- Associates of Nursing (ASN).
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program (exceptions may apply for those with >2 years acute care experience, subject to CNO approval).
- Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty.

- Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour provision of patient care services to populations ranging from infant to elderly.
- Address the most urgent and relevant clinical needs of patients during their emergency visit.
- Collaborate with Emergency Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Paramedics, and Technicians.
- Deliver a holistic approach to care, individualized based on patients' and their families' needs.
- Contribute to a culture of compassion and service to patients, colleagues, and the community.
