About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse (RN) assignment in the Emergency Department (ER) located in Clearlake, California. The contract is for 13 weeks, with a start date of 09/28/2026. The role involves working night shifts, 12 hours per shift, for a total of 36 hours per week in a fast-paced care environment.

Requirements

• Active RN license in California
• ER or acute care nursing experience preferred (1+ year commonly expected for travel ER roles)
• CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS and other certifications may be preferred
• Ability to work nights and 36 hours per week in a fast-paced setting
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
• Nursing degree from an accredited program (RN)

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to ED patients, including rapid assessment, triage, and ongoing monitoring of vital signs and clinical status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and procedures per physician orders, with attention to safety and documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and other members of the ED team to support patient flow, patient advocacy, and timely disposition.
• Respond to emergencies, perform life-saving interventions within scope, and utilize appropriate ED protocols and equipment.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record, ensure infection control practices, and provide patient and family education as needed.
• Participate in quality and safety initiatives, prioritize patient safety, and support continuous improvement in a high-demand environment.
