The primary objective of this position is to provide quality of care. Responsible for the direct and/or indirect care of patients assigned utilizing professional nursing skills and knowledge. As a Registered Nurse, you will assess learning needs, readiness to learn and identify actual or potential barriers to learning and thereby incorporating the patient's education into daily activities based on age, cultural and spiritual values. You will document admission assessment / reassessment, plan, interventions and medication use and monitor its effects and outcomes according to policy. You will utilize the information management system to enhance communication and document changes in patient's condition to all appropriate individuals. You will prioritize work assignments based on changing situations. You will communicate transfer of patient responsibility and pertinent information at the bedside and during Interprofessional Rounds. You will recognize and integrate patient special needs and individualize care and be knowledgeable in abuse recognition and referral. You will include pain management and supportive care issues in the plan of care. You will adhere to infection control standards specific to patient care and promote and maintain a safe, clean and orderly environment. You will perform other duties as assigned.
