About The Position

This role focuses on nursing professional development within surgical services. The Registered Nurse Educator will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate educational activities for nursing clinical areas across the continuum of care. They will serve as a strategic consultant for nursing clinical performance initiatives, creating, implementing, and evaluating competency-based programs, delivery mechanisms, and clinical performance. Key responsibilities include needs assessment, program design, outcome measurement, consultancy for clinical competency programs, and overseeing performance standards to ensure practice at the highest extent of license.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Required bachelors degree

Nice To Haves

Registered Nurse with acute or critical care experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with leadership to identify critical educational gaps and competencies.
Develop and implement evidence-based clinical training and learning plans.
Utilize advanced metrics and tools to evaluate the success of learning goals.
Advise on the full life-cycle of programs that support organization-wide clinical competency.
Oversee performance standards to ensure practice at the highest extent of license.
