About The Position

This role involves implementing and managing care plans for a diverse patient load in the Emergency Department. The Registered Nurse will closely monitor and record vital changes, communicate updates to the medical team in real-time, and execute physician and nursing orders with precision. The nurse will act as the primary clinical point of contact for patients, ensuring all tests, treatments, and reassessments are completed efficiently. Additionally, the role includes coordinating with the team to ensure discharge needs are met and the patient is ready for their next level of care.

Requirements

  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.

Responsibilities

  • Work at the heart of the unit, executing physician and nursing orders with precision to ensure every patient receives timely treatment.
  • Act as the primary clinical point of contact for your patients, ensuring all tests, treatments, and reassessments are completed efficiently to keep their care plan on track.
  • Coordinate with the team to ensure discharge needs are met and the patient is ready for their next level of care.
