About The Position

This is a 13-week contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department (ED) located in Utica, NY. The shift is 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with a 36-hour guarantee.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience in Emergency Department (ED) setting
• Proficiency with specialty equipment: Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun
• Ability to care for a wide range of patient ages: Newborn, Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatric

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with common diagnoses including Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, MI, Cardiac Arrest, and Respiratory Failure.
• Utilize specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Care for a diverse patient population including Newborn, Pediatrics, Adults, and Geriatric patients.
• Work within a unit that has 64 beds, including 2 Triage beds, 40 acute care beds, 6 super track beds, 2 Trauma beds, 10 CDU beds, and 6 psych beds.
