About The Position
This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Dialysis department at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. The position is PRN with 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. The nurse will lead specialized hemodialysis treatments, monitor patient stability, coordinate renal care with nephrologists and care teams, and educate patients and families.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing required.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.
Responsibilities
- Lead specialized hemodialysis treatments with a focus on safe vascular access, precise therapy delivery, and patient comfort.
- Monitor patient stability in real time, continuously tracking vitals and fluid balance to proactively prevent complications during care.
- Coordinate holistic renal care alongside nephrologists and care teams to keep long-term treatment plans aligned and seamless.
- Empower patients and families through ongoing education on fluid management, access care, and life between treatments.
