The Dialysis Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing, and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. This role involves planning, coordinating, and providing patient care, including interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. Dialysis Nurses oversee dialysis treatments for patients with acute or chronic kidney failure as ordered by physicians. The role may also include performing other related duties and potentially serving as a Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).
