About The Position

An expert nurse who provides leadership for the organization of services and systems necessary for a collaborative approach to a clinical specialty and related patient care. Assumes the day-to-day responsibilities of patient care, process and performance improvement activities as they relate to nursing, and ancillary personnel and assist in carrying out the same functions for all staff. Plans, implements and evaluates clinical programs to achieve high quality, patient-focused outcomes which advance patient and family care and nursing practice in patient care. May be responsible for the specialty program development, quality assessment, improvement and inter/intra disciplinary communications. Works collaboratively with all hospital and clinic personnel on shared system and performance improvement projects.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • RN-Registered Nurse of California
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • 5 years of recent relevant experience.
  • Evidence of expertise in developing patient and staff education materials.
  • Evidence of expertise in providing education to individuals and groups.
  • Interpersonal communication skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to function with a high degree of independence.
  • Ability to actively collaborate with health care members providing care for highly complex patients.
  • Experience with data management systems.
  • Experience working with inter-disciplinary teams.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Basic computer skills to access, enter, and retrieve data.
  • MS Word and Excel spreadsheets.
