About The Position

Drive Diagnostic Excellence & Patient Safety: Provide expert, direct nursing care during cardiac stress testing and diagnostic cardiology procedures, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols while monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions in real time. Lead Care Coordination & Physician Support: Act as the clinical anchor for the diagnostic team by seamlessly executing physician orders and collaborating across disciplines to ensure efficient, well-coordinated patient care. Manage Patient Care Plans: Implement and continuously monitor specialized cardiac care plans, actively tracking patient responses to testing to ensure optimal outcomes and immediate clinical intervention if necessary. Facilitate Smooth Discharges & Next Steps: Assess and coordinate patient discharge needs following diagnostic procedures, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure patients are safely transitioned and well-informed of their follow-up care.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
2 years telemetry experience
