About The Position

Sanford Health is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse (RN) to join their dermatology practice. This role is highly procedural and involves working closely with the dermatology team to provide exceptional patient care. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients. This includes coordination of care, patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various other nursing interventions. The RN collaborates with other inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care. They must demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge, utilizing appropriate age and population-specific standards. The role functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure, adhering to the foundation of nursing care delivery and professional conduct as defined by the American Nurses Association.

Requirements

  • Graduated from a school or college of nursing.
  • Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as a RN (or LPN) at another facility.
  • Requires current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state, or states, of practice.
  • Nurses performing nursing practice over the telephone require licensure in the states where the patients being served reside.
  • Certification may be required depending on specialty or service area.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
