About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular OR department at Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. The position is full-time, with day shifts. The nurse will perform scrub and circulating functions during surgical procedures, assist the operating physician, and prepare operating rooms, instruments, and equipment.

Requirements

Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
1 year of experience in CVOR

Responsibilities

Perform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.
Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.
Directly assists operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing, and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.
Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.
