About The Position

This role is in the Cardiovascular Operating Room at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. The position is full-time, working day shifts Monday through Friday, with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts (days TBD). Call is required, and the ability to work occasional nights, weekends, or holidays is necessary. The Registered Nurse will lead the surgical environment by transitioning between scrub and circulating roles, ensuring precision and safety in complex cardiovascular procedures. They will advocate for patient safety through vigilant monitoring and real-time communication, managing the total nursing care journey for patients. The role involves orchestrating the operative suite by preparing specialized cardiovascular instrumentation and advanced technology, and collaborating with surgeons and anesthesia providers by managing line access and intubation to maintain physiological stability.

Requirements

Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Orchestrate the operative suite by expertly preparing specialized cardiovascular instrumentation and advanced technology, ensuring the team is equipped for success before the first incision.
Collaborate as a critical partner to surgeons and anesthesia providers, proactively managing line access and intubation to maintain physiological stability throughout the case.
