About The Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) procedures. This role is critical in providing exceptional patient care within a large, academic, teaching hospital environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both scrubbing and circulating in a fast-paced OR setting, with a specific emphasis on open-heart surgeries. Prior travel experience and proficiency with the Epic electronic health record system are mandatory.
Requirements
- Valid Vermont or compact RN License.
- Must be able to scrub and circulate.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of OR RN experience.
- Recent and high competency in Cardiovascular / Open Heart OR.
- Experience in a large, academic, teaching hospital.
- Prior travel experience required.
- Epic experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable.
Nice To Haves
- CNOR certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate in CVOR procedures.
- Provide direct patient care in the operating room.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Float to other OR suites as needed.
- Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and patient management.
