About The Position
This is a travel/contract CVICU Registered Nurse position at a major hospital main campus. The role requires candidates with recent and substantial experience in the cardiovascular intensive care unit specialty, and involves night shift rotation on a 3x12 schedule.
Requirements
- ECG rhythm recognition competency (assessed during orientation)
- Proficiency sufficient to achieve an acceptable score on safeMedicate assessment during orientation
- PERM Ohio RN License or Compact State license — must be in hand at time of submission
- AHA or facility-approved BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty being applied for (preferable within one location, but combined experience is accepted)
- Minimum 18 months of recent CVICU experience — travel experience will suffice
- Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
- COVID-19 vaccination required (Medical/Religious exemptions only)
- Flu vaccination required (Medical/Religious exemptions only)
Responsibilities
- Work 3x12 night shifts only (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Work at least every other holiday as required by the facility
- Complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation; an acceptable score on both assessments is required
