About The Position
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse for our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). The ideal candidate will possess strong cardiac surgery skills and experience with specific procedures and equipment. This role requires a New York RN license, a minimum of two years of nursing experience with at least one year in a specialty setting, and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Requirements
- New York RN license
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a specialty setting (CVICU)
- Experience with CABG and Valve surgeries
- Experience with Swans and IABPS
- BLS certification (AHA or Am. Red Cross)
- ACLS certification (AHA or Am. Red Cross)
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the CVICU.
- Assist in the care of patients undergoing CABG and Valve surgeries.
- Manage patients requiring Swans and IABPS.
- Monitor patient vital signs and condition, and respond to changes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
