About The Position

The Cardiovascular Prep and Recovery Unit Registered Nurse is responsible for the care of patients before and after Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology procedures. This includes patient preparation, assessments, recovery, education, and collaboration with the procedural teams to ensure a smooth and safe pre and post process.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Technical Diploma in Nursing required.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing program.
Current Arkansas Registered Nurse Licensure.
BLS/CPR required upon hire or prior to patient care.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage patients in a fast paced environment
Strong knowledge in electronic documentation system
Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, with excellent critical thinking and decision making skills
Basic proficiency in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
Adequate verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Basic flexibility to adapt to changes in patient conditions and unit priorities

Nice To Haves

Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
ACLS required within 1 year of hire.
Previous experience in surgical nursing, pre-operative care or other related field a plus
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in nursing
Knowledge of preoperative procedures, medications, and patient safety protocols.
Proficiency in electronic documentation systems
