About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive healthcare services within a correctional setting. The RN will deliver direct patient care, support interdisciplinary teams, and ensure the health and well-being of individuals in custody through assessment, treatment, and education.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
- Current registration as a professional nurse
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior correctional or behavioral health experience
- Ability to work effectively in a secure and structured environment
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a correctional environment
- Conduct health assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to care and adjust plans accordingly
- Offer health education, counseling, and support to patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Supervise and provide guidance to LPNs, graduate nurses, and support staff
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
