About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive healthcare services within a correctional facility. The role involves patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure quality care delivery in a secure environment.
Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Certification in a specialty area as required by NYS Education Department
- Experience in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and patient care
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work in a secure, fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Perform physical examinations and assess patient health conditions
- Diagnose illnesses and develop treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests
- Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and patient progress
- Administer medications and therapeutic treatments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for care planning
- Educate patients on health conditions and treatment plans
- Ensure compliance with correctional healthcare protocols and safety standards
