The mission of Anoka County Community Corrections is Working to Build a Safer Community. The department has an immediate opening for a Registered Nurse, Correctional Health, who is responsible for providing medical services to individuals housed in a juvenile detention center (the Anoka County Juvenile Center). This setting serves adolescents sentenced to a period of incarceration, creating a unique opportunity to support both individual health and long‑term community safety. We have both secure and non-secure programs; the non-secure setting also serves youth involved with social services. The Registered Nurse, Correctional Health delivers direct, patient‑centered care to an incarcerated population, including assessment, triage, medication administration, and management of a wide range of health needs. The nurse collaborates with medical providers, mental health staff, and corrections personnel to ensure continuity of care within the facility. Emphasis is placed on health education and connecting patients with community resources to promote successful reintegration. Step into a role that offers professional growth, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on individuals working toward stability, rehabilitation, and a successful return to the community.
