As a Registered Nurse, Coronary Care at Mount Sinai Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a dedicated team of cardiology specialists in a small, cohesive unit that fosters autonomy and continuous learning. This role is for a compassionate nurse with strong critical thinking skills, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and a drive for continuous learning and improvement. You will utilize and hone your skills in cardiac monitoring, assessment, and emergency response, with in-depth knowledge of cardiac medications and patient/family education being crucial. The unit provides an opportunity to develop strong bonds with patients, offering personalized care and emotional support. You will be part of a close-knit unit that values collaboration and mutual support, with exposure to unique experiences including pre and post-natal cardiac care as part of Canada's largest Women’s and Infants high-risk center. The Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at Mount Sinai Hospital is a specialized six-bed unit dedicated to providing advanced cardiac care, working closely with the heart function clinic, special pregnancy program, and oncology patients, offering comprehensive cardiology care and continuous cardiac monitoring for the hospital. The unit primarily treats patients with congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, and cardiomyopathies, particularly in pregnant populations. The CCU's collaborative environment and state-of-the-art technology enable us to deliver personalized, high-quality care to every patient.
