About The Position

Duties & Responsibilities Recruit, hire, train, and support nurses and medical assistant staff across community OTP clinics, correctional facilities, and mobile van-based services. Develop, implement, and update policies and procedures for nursing and medical assistant functions, including dispensing, diversion control, toxicology, phlebotomy, and the management of internal and external medical records. Establish, monitor, and train staff on protocols for the secure delivery, stocking, storage, and ordering of medications for Opioid Use Disorder (Methadone, Buprenorphine, Vivitrol). Coordinate medical treatment with DOC Addictions and Medical Staff, ensuring timely communication regarding client progress, dose changes, inductions, and referrals. Collaborate with Medical Practitioners (APRN, MD) to support client care, including medical assessments, monitoring withdrawal and medication response, and addressing urgent medical needs. Provide supervision, coaching, and performance management of nursing and medical assistant staff, including evaluations, improvement plans, and progressive discipline when required. Work closely with the Clinical Program Director, participating in treatment team meetings and providing consultation on medical and clinical integration. Participate in joint oversight and coordination meetings with DOC and CHR leadership to ensure effective service delivery across all programs. Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulatory bodies (DEA, DPH, NCCHC) as well as internal organizational policies and quality standards. Promote continuous quality improvement (CQI) by identifying opportunities to enhance workflows, safety, and patient outcomes across OTP programs. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Nursing education sufficient to receive licensure on CT.
  • Experience in Opioid Treatment Program.
  • Current RN license in the State of Connecticut required
  • Certification in CPR
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
