About The Position
The Perioperative Clinical Coordinator is a Registered Professional Nurse who has accountability for perioperative nursing care provided in his/her designated surgical specialties. This role coordinates department throughput, efficiencies, resources, and staffing. The coordinator is responsible for securing/procuring and maintaining supplies, equipment, and instruments necessary to deliver optimal surgical care. Additionally, they coordinate perioperative workflows, activities, and communicate with all key stakeholders working with or in the perioperative areas.
Requirements
- BSN or currently enrolled in BSN program. Degree must be acquired within 24 mths, from an accredited nursing program, of hire.
- IL RN License
- CPR BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Experience in OR setting
- Team building, leadership acumen, critical thinking and effective communication.
- Must demonstrate competency in care of all patient age groups specific to specialty. Competencies are unit/specialty specific.
