About The Position

Ensign Services, Inc.’s (ESI) Compliance Department is seeking a Registered Nurse - Compliance Partner. This is a field-based position that requires regular travel to assigned facilities. Candidates must live within close proximity to a major airport in the Salt Lake City, UT area. The primary responsibilities will involve performing clinical compliance audits, conducting internal investigations under the direction of the associate and chief compliance officer, and reviewing and analyzing medical records and/or claims to detect possible compliance or quality issues. ESI's compliance philosophy is to work closely with field facilities, agencies, and resources to develop solid relationships that allow for the enhancement and fostering of compliance throughout the organization. The role not only provides training, oversight, and auditing functions but also serves as a partner to providers to assist them in building successful businesses in an ethical and compliant manner.

Requirements

Must be a Registered Nurse.
1-2 years of nursing experience in the skilled nursing environment.
Candidates must live within close proximity to a major airport in the Salt Lake City, UT area.

Nice To Haves

A minimum of 1 to 2 years of leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility required, 3-5 years is preferred.
Understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing the skilled nursing industry.

Responsibilities

Creates and presents regular training on clinical compliance and general healthcare compliance topics.
Performs clinical systems compliance audits.
Reviews medical records to detect possible compliance or quality issues and works to assist operations to develop a corrective action plan to resolve the same.
Conducts internal investigations involving general compliance and clinical issues under the direction of a lead compliance partner or the Chief Compliance Officer.
Travel required 70% of the time within Utah and surrounding areas/states.
