About The Position

University of Washington Medical Center-Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced acute care nurse to work on our Complex Med-Surg unit. This is a 90% FTE Day/Night rotation position. Our Complex Med-Surg unit (4NE) is a 30 bed step-down unit that cares for patients who have had a variety of complex surgical procedures. The surgical services include: General Surgery (complex Abdominal), Neurosurgery (cranial and spine) and Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery, and Thoracic Surgery.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of current/recent acute care med-surg nursing experience
• Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington
• BLS required

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients who have had a variety of complex surgical procedures.
• Care for patients undergoing General Surgery (complex Abdominal), Neurosurgery (cranial and spine), Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery, and Thoracic Surgery.

Benefits

• BSN (or higher degree) Premium - $1.00/hour
• Certification (Specialty Certs) Premium - $1.25/hour
• Night Shift Premium - $5.00/hour
• Evening Shift Premium - $3.00/hour
• Weekend Shift Premium - $4.00/hour
• Sunday Night Premium - $3.00/hour
