About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 care for a young woman with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a community-based setting. This full-time role is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about person-centered care and helping individuals achieve greater independence. You will support her health, safety, and daily living both in a private home and during community activities, building a consistent and trusting relationship.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor's in Nursing).
Valid Rhode Island RN license required.
Proof of vaccinations in accordance with RIDOH guidelines.

Responsibilities

Monitor and assess the individual's health status; communicate observations to supervisor and family.
Promote overall health and wellness through nursing best practices.
Foster open, respectful communication with the person supported and their family.
Maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs.
Assist with community outings and daily activities.
Administer and track medications as prescribed.
Monitor and document seizure activity.
Accompany the individual to medical appointments as needed.
Attend all required state and agency trainings.
