About The Position
Scrubs Academy is looking to hire an RN to join our team as an instructor. The CNA Instructor will serve as an advisor, trainer, educator, and evaluator, assisting and supporting facility goals related to nurse aide students' training and retention.
Requirements
- Minnesota RN with a minimum of two years of licensed nursing experience in the US.
- At least one year in the provision of long term care facility services in the US.
- Total licensed nursing experience can be as a LPN but must currently be a RN. Licensed nursing experience does not include nurse aide.
- Train the Trainer certificate if required by chosen curriculum.
- Subject matter expert on the state of MN Nurse Aide training curriculum.
- RN License (Required)

Responsibilities
- Complete retention tracking with class attendees.
- Recommend policy and procedure changes and/or updates, as needed.
- Research other training methods, materials, and resources.
- Guide and support nurse aide students through testing and certification.
- Prepare lesson plans based on the nurse aide curriculum.
- Effectively communicate and train nurse aide students.
- Facilitate regular CNA Training Class.
- Communicate with the Program Coordinator any concerns with CNA students’ progress throughout the duration of the class.
- Complete Skills Check off and promote proficiency.
- Evaluate students upon completion of the class for assurance of knowledge obtained policies.
