Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted license as a registered nurse (RN) in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Associate degree in nursing accepted with relevant experience.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in an ambulatory care setting, primary care or relevant specialty.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support required.
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have valid insurance and driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass a Level I and Level II Background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients using evidence-based practice, clinical judgment, and collaboration with the patient care team.
  • Work under the supervision of a provider, responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Empower patient wellness by fostering a collaborative, supportive environment that encourages patient engagement, autonomy, and informed participation in their health journey.
  • Perform comprehensive and focused patient assessments, including history-taking, physical examination, and interpretation of clinical data.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, loved ones, and the provider.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to established protocols and scope of practice.
  • Monitor and document patient responses, promptly recognizing and responding to changes in condition.
  • Provide direct care for acute conditions including STIs, chronic conditions including HIV, and preventative services like PrEP and annual care visits.
  • Ensure infection prevention and control standards are maintained.
  • Coordinate with physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and other team members to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, loved ones, and providers regarding care plans and progress.
  • Provide health promotion, risk reduction, and disease prevention counseling.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
