Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date reqired.
  • Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in assigned areas.
  • Actively assign, direct, and mentor nursing and support staff during your shift to ensure high-quality patient care and professional development.
  • Use independent judgment to assess patient needs, develop daily care assignments, and manage unit productivity to meet organizational standards.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for patient care concerns, professionally managing and resolving complaints through established clinical channels.
  • Oversee the availability of essential materials and medical supplies while prioritizing tasks based on real-time patient and physician dynamics.
  • Play a key role in the growth of your unit by providing vital input on the hiring, training, and performance evaluation of your nursing team.
