About The Position

The Clinical Evaluation Center (CEC) specializes in the assessment and stabilization of individuals in acute psychiatric crisis who are thought to need inpatient level of care. We evaluate walk-ins from the community to determine level of care. We evaluate and admit walkovers from our ambulatory, partial, and residential services, and scheduled patients from medical facilities. Utilizing the nursing process, responsibility for providing for immediate and long-term nursing care needs of patients within the standards of the department, hospital and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required
No experience required; one year medical/psychiatric experience preferred
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, ability to utilize the nursing process and to work collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
0-1 year preferred

Responsibilities

Accurately assesses patients’ needs.
Performs point of care testing.
