About The Position

The Clinical RN Educator is a registered nurse responsible for providing education services related to clinical and patient care services in support of the hospital’s objectives, mission, and values. The role bridges clinical practice and education, helping staff stay current with best practices, policies, and procedures. This full-time position is based at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas, and works day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (8-hour shift).

Requirements

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of acute care experience.

Nice To Haves

• Critical Care area experience is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of previous educational experience is preferred.
• Prior Critical Care experience is strongly preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver orientation programs for new clinical staff.
• Provide ongoing training, in-services, and continuing education on clinical skills, protocols, equipment, and patient care standards.
• Serve as a clinical resource to staff during patient care.
• Mentor and coach clinical staff in skill development, critical thinking, and decision-making.
• Support new graduates and clinical residents during onboarding and transition to practice.
• Help implement new clinical guidelines, hospital policies, and evidence-based practices.
• Monitor compliance and provide remediation or education as needed.
• Collaborate with leadership on quality improvement and patient safety projects.
• Analyze performance data and help develop action plans for improvement.
• Encourage certifications, advanced degrees, and career growth.
• Keep staff informed about changes in healthcare regulations and trends.
