About The Position

The Registered Nurse Clinical Coordinator provides unit-level clinical support for Medical/Surgical 6 West at Henry Ford Warren Hospital. The role helps ensure seamless patient care throughout the hospital stay by assisting with direct care, coordinating bed utilization, and coaching staff in clinical practice and customer service. The position is part of an inpatient nursing team focused on safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Two to three years of relevant acute care nursing experience.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Michigan Nursing License.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS).
• Telemetry experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing.
• ACLS certification.
• Preferred leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct patient care, including admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Assess patient conditions and complete clinical tasks such as IVs and blood draws.
• Respond to clinical emergency situations and ensure patient safety and rights.
• Coach unit staff in clinical practice, critical thinking, and customer service skills.
• Coordinate bed utilization within inpatient hospital patient care units.
