About The Position
This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac specialty at Saint Thomas Heart West in Nashville, TN. The position is full-time, with day shifts. The nurse will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and evolving patient care plans, communicating vital updates to the team, interpreting and carrying out physician and nursing orders, and leading the discharge planning process from day one.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Responsibilities
- Implement, monitor, and evolve patient care plans to meet unique needs.
- Monitor patient conditions and communicate vital updates to the team in real-time.
- Interpret and carry out physician and nursing orders, ensuring clinical accuracy.
- Lead the discharge planning process from day one, collaborating with the care team for a safe transition home.
