About The Position

This role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care within a Neurosurgery clinic. The Registered Nurse will follow established clinical protocols to ensure high standards of safety, quality, and patient well-being. Key responsibilities include implementing and monitoring individualized care plans, coordinating multidisciplinary care teams, executing physician and nursing orders accurately, and leading collaborative discharge planning for smooth patient transitions.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required OR a bachelors level degree not in nursing, an active RN License, and enrolled in an Alternate Entry Masters of Science in Nursing Program with a minimum of 1 year in the program completed.
Minimum of one year of inpatient or outpatient clinic nursing experience.
Demonstrated experience managing the end-to-end prior authorization process and navigating medical necessity appeals.

Proficiency in the Athena electronic health record (EHR) system.

Lead collaborative discharge planning alongside the healthcare team to guarantee safe, smooth transitions and continuous support for patients returning home.
