We’re looking for a qualified Registered Nurse Charge Nurse to join our department in Med Surg working Fulltime Days. The work location is Texas Health Fort Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104. The work environment is the BU GI GU Surgical Unit. This is a Full-time Dayshift position, 36 hours weekly, 7a-7p, with rotating weekends and holidays. Justin 4 is a 36-bed surgical unit that will care for colorectal, gastrointestinal, and urology surgery patients. On August 10, the unit will initially open with 20 beds, with plans to expand to the full 36 beds later in the year. Patients may be admitted pre- or post-operatively, with an average length of stay of approximately five days. RN staffing ratio is 1:4 and PCT staffing ratio is 1:12. Positions require 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays. Team members may be placed on call for regularly scheduled shifts in response to census fluctuations. Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth is a 726-bed, Magnet-designated regional referral center that has served the residents of Tarrant County and surroundings communities since 1930. Hospital services include cardiovascular care, high-risk obstetrics, gynecology, orthopedics and sports medicine, neonatal intensive care, and trauma/emergency medicine. In early 2014, Texas Health Fort Worth opened a new 75,000 square foot Emergency Services Center, one of the largest in the region. Texas Health Fort Worth has more than 4,000 employees, 200 volunteers and nearly 1,000 physicians on its medical staff. The hospital is also a designated Cycle III Chest Pain Center by the Society of Chest Pain Centers.
