About The Position
This RN Charge position is responsible for the management of nursing care and comfort of the residents of MDH - Holly Center for a designated shift. The Charge Nurse will assist with the supervision and evaluation of staff on a designated shift. This position is designated as emergency essential.
Requirements
- Current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing or a current multi-state license.
- Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse, one year of which must have been in the Medical option.
- Possession of a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing.
- Possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland (if assigned duties requiring automobile operation).
- Successfully complete cardiopulmonary resuscitation training and maintain current certification (if required).
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field from an accredited college or university (can substitute for one year of general experience).
- Master’s degree in nursing or a health-related field from an accredited college or university (can substitute for required experience).
- U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Nursing classifications or Nursing and Hospital Administration specialty codes in the Nursing field of work (can substitute year-for-year for required experience).
