About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their Cath Lab Department at the Baptist Medical Center South campus in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time, day shift opportunity, working four 10-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. Call is expected. The role involves coordinating with various departments and assisting with cardiac and peripheral invasive procedures, including moderate sedation. Cath Lab RNs may also assist with TEEs and cardioversions. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, supervision of care provided by supportive personnel, coordination of care with ancillary services, and involving patients and their families in the plan of care. The role also entails coordinating and preparing the assigned room/case, assessing patient care needs, and anticipating the needs of the case. The position requires 2 years of Critical Care Experience and will be located at Baptist South in Jacksonville, FL. Positions requiring a level II Background check will undergo screening as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating with physician's office, other RNs, laboratory, dietary, x-ray, pharmacy and other areas of hospital
• Assist with cardiac and peripheral invasive procedures.
• Will be responsible for moderate sedation.
• Cath Lab RN's may assist with TEEs, and cardioversions.
• Assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services
• Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
• Coordination and preparation of assigned room/case, assessment of patient care needs and the anticipation of needs of the case
