About The Position
This position involves providing nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures. The role requires assisting with patient preparation, procedural support, and post-procedure recovery. The nurse will perform patient assessments, monitor hemodynamic status, administer and monitor moderate sedation, and function in circulating and procedural support roles within the Cath Lab. Collaboration with cardiologists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams is essential to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Accurate documentation within the electronic medical record is also a key responsibility.
Requirements
- Active New York State RN License/Registration
- Current BLS Certification
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care RN experience within the past 2 years
- Cath Lab experience required
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in hospitals of similar or greater size and acuity preferred
- 4+ years of Cath Lab experience
- Comfortable with both sedation and circulating responsibilities
- EPIC EMR proficiency
- Previous experience in trauma centers or large acute care facilities
