About The Position

The IMA Group is seeking experienced Registered Nurse Case Managers (RN) in the Colorado Springs area to support workers’ compensation cases on a flexible 1099 basis. For over 30 years, The IMA Group has partnered with individuals, employers, carriers, and government agencies to improve health and disability outcomes nationwide. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality medical and case management services that make a meaningful impact. This is an independent, consultative role with autonomy in your day-to-day work, offering no bedside care, weekends, or on-call responsibilities. It is a hybrid role combining local travel with remote documentation, with an established support team and consistent referral volume. The Field Nurse Case Manager will coordinate medical care for injured workers while acting as a liaison between providers, employers, adjusters, and attorneys, guiding treatment plans, monitoring recovery progress, and supporting safe, timely return-to-work outcomes.

Requirements

• Active Colorado RN license
• Minimum 3 years of Workers’ Compensation Field Case Management experience
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload
• Proficient with technology and electronic documentation systems
• Reliable transportation for travel throughout Colorado Springs and surrounding areas
• Professional liability/malpractice insurance or ability to obtain

Nice To Haves

• CCM, CRRN, or related certifications preferred
• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee medical treatment plans for injured workers
• Attend medical appointments and evaluate treatment progression
• Communicate with providers, employers, attorneys, and insurance carriers
• Prepare timely, detailed case management reports
• Assess medical necessity and appropriateness of care
• Assist with return-to-work planning and transitional duty coordination
• Coordinate IMEs and job site evaluations as needed
