About The Position
This role is for a Registered Nurse in Cardiovascular Services at Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center in Carmel, IN. The position is part-time, with day shifts from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, working 2 days per week. The nurse will provide direct nursing care specific to the Heart Center, implement and monitor patient care plans, coordinate care among disciplines, carry out physician and nursing orders, and assess discharge planning needs.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Nice To Haves
- At least 2 yrs cardiovascular experience in a high acuity inpatient hospital.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization specific to the Heart Center.
- Implement and monitors patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
