The position is part of the Cardiovascular/Telemetry Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono.

Requirements

Graduate of accredited Nursing program.
Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice.
Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care.
Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty.
Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies.
Basic computer skills.
BLS - Basic Life Support AHA - American Heart Association Upon Hire.
RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire.

Bachelor’s Degree Nursing
1 year Acute Care Experience and/or experience congruent with role in service line.

Responsibilities

Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care for designated patients.
Recognizes the need for and initiates collaboration/communication with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to proactively resolve patient needs.

Demonstrates leadership and team building skills including teaching and mentoring new colleagues and department interns, additional precepting as assigned.
Delegates based on skills and expertise of team members, patient acuity, specific patient needs, and team member availability.
Provides input as requested for performance appraisals of care delivery team members.
