About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Surgical Stepdown department at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola. The position is full-time, working night shifts with three 12-hour shifts per week, from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The nurse will deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care, manage individualized patient care plans, coordinate multidisciplinary healthcare teams, execute medical orders precisely, and champion smooth patient transitions by planning for discharge needs.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
At least a year of acute care bedside experience.

Execute medical orders with precision, accurately noting and carrying out physician and nursing directives to maintain a safe, continuous healing environment.
Champion smooth patient transitions by proactively assessing and planning for discharge needs alongside the healthcare team, setting patients up for success at home.
