About The Position

This role involves providing expert phone triage for cardiology patients, identifying chief complaints and symptoms, and prioritizing urgent needs and critical results. The Registered Nurse will partner with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans and deliver timely instructions to patients. Responsibilities also include streamlining clinic operations by managing medication refills, securing prior authorizations, and providing direct support to providers. The nurse will triage urgent patient needs, critical results, and review testing and lab results. Additionally, the role involves scheduling specialized procedures and providing comprehensive patient education regarding testing and preparation.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

3 to 5 years of RN experience in Cardio, ER, Critical Care or Tele.
