About The Position
Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the E4 Cardiology Telemetry unit at Backus Hospital. This 28-bed unit serves as the central cardiac monitoring site for inpatient floors. Requirements
- Graduate of a school of Nursing.
- One (1) year RN experience and/or successful completion of the Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program.
- Current unrestricted license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within 90 days of hire.
- Must be able to pass the dysrhythmia test within 3 months of hire.
- Must be able to pass the BKAT with a score of 80% or complete a critical care course within one (1) year of hire.
- Ability to obtain and maintain department specific certifications.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred
- Two (2) or more years of experience in this clinical area preferred.
