About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Cardiology Ambulatory Triage role. The nurse will serve as a vital clinical resource for a high-volume department supporting 24 cardiology providers. Responsibilities include answering live incoming calls, triaging appropriately per protocols, communicating abnormal test results with physician direction, conducting in-office nurse triage visits, and acting as a patient advocate. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., offering a predictable schedule and excellent work-life balance in an ambulatory setting. Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of RN experience.
  • Associates of Nursing (ASN) required.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. (Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of relevant clinical experience, subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer).
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
  • May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strong patient advocate between providers and patients.
