About The Position
We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardio Vascular ICU to provide high-quality care to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.
Requirements
- 3 years of CV ICU experience
- Active IL license
- CPR
- ACLS
- NIHSS certification
- Experience with Epic
- Must pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or above
Nice To Haves
- Charge experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Interpretation/management of dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, thermoregulation, CABG, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Impella, Post Cardiac Surgery, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Valve Replacement/Repair, LVAD/RVAD, CVVHD/CRRT
- IV therapy including accessing ports, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management, starting IVs
- Medication administration: continuous IV paralytics/neuromuscular blockade, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, procedural sedation administration, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
- CVA/Acute Stroke Management, Lumbar drains, management of BiPAP/CPAP, care of ventilated patients, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation of ABGs, suctioning, ventilator management, infection prevention, isolation precautions
- Phlebotomy, surgical wounds with drains/wound vac
