About The Position

Johnson 4 is a medical/surgical and cardiac telemetry Progressive Care Unit, which accepts patients 18 years of age or older with cardiac and Medical/surgical conditions. Common Medical Diagnoses include Heart failure, STEMI/NSTEMI, Acute Coronary Syndrome, Syncope, Cardiac Dysrhythmia, Cerebral Vascular Accident, Circulatory disorder, Chest Pain, and Pre/Post Pacemaker/AICD placement, and Pre/Post Cardiac Catheterization.
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- ACLS preferred
- PCU Experience preferred
- Progressive Telemetry Competency
Responsibilities
- Complete assessments, administer medications/treatments, observe patients progress and evaluate therapies for clinical outcomes and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with physicians and other medical professionals to develop an optimal health care strategy plan for each patient.
- Support and educate patients and their loved ones to achieve maximum outcomes.
